About James

James Overall came to medicine through injury. A serious accident forced him to understand the body from the inside — what breaks it, what heals it, and what most conventional approaches miss.

A long-time martial artist, James brings the same discipline and precision to his clinical work that he applies to his practice. He works with men and women across a wide range of conditions — from structural pain and injury recovery to stress, fatigue, and systemic imbalance.

He trained under Dr Chris Roworth PhD at the Chestnut School of Japanese Integrated Medicine, and travels to Japan each year to study with Professor Masaaki Hatsumi — one of the foremost living authorities on traditional Japanese bodywork and martial arts.

James lives in Stroud with his family and dog. He runs, cycles, and spends as much time outside as possible.
